The ecosystem approach to fisheries management (EAFM), one of the key goals of the Coral Triangle countries, seeks to address problems such as overfishing, illegal fishing, overcapacity, and by-catch. With fisheries being the main food source for the people, EAFM has become a major issue to ensure food security and sustainability of marine resources. This is one of the projects being conducted in the Coral Triangle as part of ADB TA No 7753, being implemented by FCG ANZDEC.
